Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

Sometimes we have to let water roll off our backs and keep moving forward!

I am a bit late on trying Neutrogena's Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes.  They are a cult favorite in the beauty industry and my beauty blogging friends swear by them.

I have been staying up very late and a couple of times I didn't wash my face before bed.  I thought it would be nice to get some cleansing towelettes to remove my makeup before bed and then in the am I could use my Clarisonic.

I chose the Neutrogena brand because of its reputation and I was not disappointed.  The towelettes are super soft and are not abrasive.  It only takes a few wipes for the towelette to completely remove all traces of makeup, including eye makeup.  More importantly, the towelettes left my skin very smooth and moisturized.  I am in love with them!  I no longer have to worry about getting too tired to wash my face and sleep in my makeup.  It only takes 30 seconds too use these towelettes!

Luxetips Beauty! Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara

I have a new Mascara that I love.  I discovered Rimmel's Lash Accelerator Mascara from my girl B of Clumps of Mascara.

Rimmel's Lash Accelerator Mascara claims to  lengthen lashes by 117% over 30 days.  I have been using it for two weeks.  So far, I love it!


The trick in this Mascara is all in the formula and the wand.  The formula is light.  It does not clump at all.  It coats my lashes evenly and thoroughly without any build up.

Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Lumene Premium Beauty Rejuvenating Day and Night Cream

Of course I am a Lumene skincare fan and I have a new Lumene obsession to share.  Lumene's Premium Beauty Day and Night Cream.  

Lumene's Premimum Beauty skin care line is for women with mature skin, 50 years plus.  I am nowhere near that age, but I have been testing this line and I love it for my skin!   These moisturizing creams contain Sea buckthorn oil and it consists of Omega fatty acids (3, 6, 7, 9).  Sea Buckthorn oil promotes skin renewal while the antioxidants in the nectar protect the skin against free radicals. The products also contain a firming peptide compound that promotes collagen and elastin production. 

The night cream claims to firm the skin and protect it against pigment changes.  My experience with this cream has been phenomenal!  I love this cream because it is so luxurious.  It makes my skin feel like butter.  Also, when I awake in the morning, my skin looks rested and relaxed.  Plus it does not break me out which is always a plus.  A little goes a long way, so it will probably last for at least 6 months.   

The Day cream contains SPF 15, which is all important.  I find it is also very rich and gives my skin a nice sheen.  It claims to protect against pigmentation and to reduce wrinkles.

Night cream texture. Creamy.

I am in my 30s and live a very high stress life.  These creams help me maintain healthy and beautiful skin while also helping me to be proactive against the skin aging process.  I love them!

Lancôme Supports Pediatric Cancer Research With Genes Day!

How was your weekend?  I hope it was filled with peace and relaxation.

My favorite luxury beauty brand, Lancôme, is once again celebrating Genes Day on October 21st.  Genes Day is a one day national beauty event that celebrates the beauty of scientific research.  Lancôme will donate $7 from every purchase of their award winning and best seller, Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate, towards  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Last year Lancôme's Genes Day raised over $300,000.  These much needed funds went towards pediatric cancer and childhood disease research. Fabulous!

Luxetips Beauty! Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Eau de Parfum

During Fashion's Night Out, I stopped in the Juicy Couture store to see what they had going on. Now Juicy Couture is not my style, but I was curious to see what they were doing for FNO.

Well they were giving away little bottles of their new fragrance, Viva La Juicy. I like scents, so I threw it in my bag. I really had no expectations regarding the quality of the fragrance. So imagine my delight when I used the fragrance in a pinch and absolutely loved it! I love it so much I have been using it everyday for a couple of weeks!

The fragrance notes are:

Top notes: wild berries and juicy mandarin gently tempered with honeysuckle, gardenia, and jasmine.

Underlying notes are: amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and praline.

The result is a fragrance that is fruity with a slight hint of musk and vanilla.

It is simply fabulous! Love, love, love!

A 3.4 oz. bottle retails for $89 and you can purchase it at Macy's or any Juicy Couture Boutique.
