Earlier this week, I attended a jewelry showcase featuring some very unique, eclectic and gorgeous statement pieces.

The name of the jewelry company is Stone Savant Jewelry and the designer is Danielle C. Hinton.  Danielle's inspiration for creating the line came from "the bohemian vibe in Los Angeles, CA."  Specifically, she was inspired by how the L.A. Divas mix funky clothing, boots and bold accessories to create that laid back but cute Cali vibe.  You know the look: the cut off shorts, cowboy boots, a funky top and a killer statement piece necklace.

Luxetips Kids: Nike, Gap, and Target

If you get discouraged, disappointed or depressed, never give up on you, your goals, and life. You have to keep on fighting!

Luxe baby has been looking so cute lately and I decided to do some posts on her little outfits.  When I purchase clothes for my kids, I always buy high, low and in between.  Usually the high end items include shoes and outwear.  The low end items are from Target, but great quality and good for playing. And in between includes the GAPs, JCrews, etc.

I love GAP for kids because the clothes are stylish and of very high quality.  The clothes are made well and can take a beating and keep on ticking.  Luxe baby looooves GAP hoodies and she choose this zip-up hoodie with the word GAP in metallic purple.  She has good taste!


Underneath the GAP hoodie is her Circo Target brand outfit.  You can purchase tons of shirts and leggings for $5 bucks each and mix and match them.  Of course pink is her favorite color.


The Nike Boots are her very best accessory. She loves these shoes. She gets tons of compliments on them and she eats it up.

Peplum tops: The Key to Hiding the Holiday Midriff

Two years ago, I made the mistake of buying Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for Halloween trick-or-treaters. Unfortunately, we did not have any trick-or-treaters that year, and it showed all along my midriff. I found myself eating two or three cups a day. Boy did it add up. By the end of the Holiday Season, I had put on a solid ten pounds. This year, while trying to be conspicuous with my little baby bump, I found a foil that works equally well for hiding the holiday cheer that may creep its way around your middle- peplum tops.  If I have not said it before, I cannot say it enough, peplum tops are a classy way to stay sexy. The fitted waists and flared bottoms make peplum tops romantically feminine and functional to boot. A peplum top is suitable for work under a blazer with pencil skirt or for the weekend with platform pumps, ankle length pants, and a tough leather jacket. Here are  two of my favorites: the In the Right Lace Top a Fully lined cotton, blend with stretch containing lining except through sleeves the sleeves. Office Party Do's and Don'ts: Do Get The Velvet Sleek Boot Cut Pant From White House

I cannot believe it is that time of year again. It seems like just last year I was giving a sequin tutorial, and here we are again, 365 days later with sequins still at the top of the holiday go to list. With all the holiday merriment and eggnog abounding, I thought I would share some tips for the upcoming office  holiday party:

1. Do wear color! There is no need to feel the need to stick to your basic black when there are so many fun jewel tones this season. If you think red and green are too cliche, try this fun brilliant gold sleeveless sequin number. You are sure to be the life of the party. The Striking Gold Dress sells for $104.99 at Modcloth.

2.If you opt for basic black, do try some funky or fun-colored tights to spice up your festive gear like these also at Modcloth. only $14.99.

3.Do stay warm. I know you want to look cute in cocktails and minis, but you can look perfectly sexy in a flirty top and warm velvet pants like these red boot cuts from White House Black Market for $ 88.00.

4. This tip courtesy of  Hubby: do NOT wear wreaths around your neck. I asked him what he meant and he said sweaters with green trim. I think he means the ugly sweaters, and though it has become quite the trend to have an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, this does not entitle you to hang on to every festive knit that your momma owned in the Eighties. If you want to stay warm and simultaneously keep it sexy, try a nice knit shirt with a sexy open back like this one from Victoria’s Secret now on sale for $59.50

5. Do NOT imbibe to the point where the holiday office party subsequently becomes a dry event. Abusing free liquor has its costs. After you hit that second, you should slow down, or better yet just stop. If you want to get sloppy, try it in the comforts of your home. My favorite festive pick for warm cozy nights at home,  Southern Comfort's Vanilla Spice Non-alcoholic Eggnog. Simply add your own libations.

I know the winter is quickly approaching, but with the crazy Atlanta weather, a maxi skirt is your friend fall or winter.  For cooler weather just add tights and boots. My favorite way to wear maxi skirts right now is with tissue turtlenecks and a blazer. When you slip on the blazer and a statement necklace, you can easily sneak some business casual into a formal business workplace (though I would not suggest it too often). Or it is a definite way to look spiffy when you do finally get to your Casual Friday. Free People's Liberating Flats

My wardrobe staples, particularly tall boots, are rapidly changing with my growing belly. Yes, I am still rocking the heels for as long as I can, but with ample protest from Hubby. I have been on the hunt for some cute flats to work into my wardrobe for when I will have an additional 25 pounds to carry or run after, and I found the most adorable and comfortable looking flat in buttery soft leather. The Swan Flat is a pretty round-toe ballet flat by Jeffrey Campbell. The two-toned ballet flat has silk ties that extend upwards from the base of the shoe and tie over the top of the foot. Luxetips Style: Studded Accessories

Hello Divas!

Chamele is back bringing us the latest on all things fabulous.  Yeah!

I recently inquired about the place to get the best studs. My fellow artisan  friend immediately sent this link to  Mesmeric Matter Supplies, a shop on Etsy,  and inquired why everyone had chosen that particular week to ask her about studs. "Are studs in?" she asked. As an artisan and trend-setter, she  always has her nose to the grindstone and  follows her heart instead of the dictates of trends. "Why yes!" I replied and sent her the links to all of my favorite studded accessories which included, a pair of Valentino gloves moto gloves and a pair of open toe Brian Atwood stilettos, both of which  I cannot afford. 

Luxe Divas, Trendy accessories are the kind of things we have to save on. Because they are in today and out tomorrow. So what do we to do? Sometimes it is better to listen than to speak.

Now that the weather has officially become more chilly, it is time for me to shop for warmer clothes.  While in in one of my favorite stores, Zara, I found the best deal on knit sweaters.

This sweater is made from softly woven cotton.  It is very soft to touch.  It comes in eight cool colors and it retails for only $16.90! I grabbed a couple and now I will pair these sweaters with skirts, slacks, jeans and shorts with tights.  Score!

Luxetips Events: Faconnable 2011 Fall Collection Shopping Event

It is such a cliche but when life gives you lemons, make it into a glass of cold sweet lemonade. LOL!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend an exclusive shopping event at Faconnable.  Faconnable is a luxury french retailer specializing in tailored men and women clothing.  Simply think of rich and elegant fabrics tailor made to perfection with an European flair.  Faconnable is the European equivalent of Ralph Lauren with a little more style.

The average Faconnable customer is definitely corporate.  Lawyers, bankers, and Fortune 500 executives would find the clothes conservative but with style.

Once again Premier PR hosted a fabulous event.  The purpose of the event was to showcase the retailer's new 2011 Fall Collection.  Shoppers received a 20% discount on purchases while enjoying Voli Vodka cocktails and delicious appetizers from the world famous Palm restaurant.

Lust Item of the Week: Navy Blue Hunter Boots!

I have been wanting these boots for a while, but always thought they were a bit much for Atlanta.  We get rain, but not that much rain.  It snows, but not too often.  However, last winter we had snow and a torrential ice storm.  So considering the possible snow and ice, I think it is time to step up my Wellie game.

Kate Moss regularly rocks Hunter Wellies and she looks gorgeous in them.
