Lancôme Draws Inspiration From Candy Darling for Chriz Benz 2012 Spring Collection

Give someone a compliment today, it might lift their spirits and make their day.

Lancôme lead make-up artist Daniel Martin, drew inspiration from Andy Warhol's it girl and pal, Candy Darling.  Daniel Martin created a look that consisted of clean and glowing skin with a pop of color.  Now I love this look!  This look reminds me of Spring, fresh flowers and sundress.  

The look:

Not a fan of the eighties hair, but the make-up is fresh.  Sea foam green was used on the eyes, with lots of mascara, tangerine blush and a soft red lip.

Lancôme Creates Sporty Look for Victoria Beckham Spring 2012

I hope you have a truly awesome day!

Mercedez-Benz New York Fashion Week wrapped up yesterday and Luxetips has the scoop on Spring 2012 make-up and fashions.  Lancôme once again created the look for Victoria Beckham's Spring 2012 Collection.  I am a huge fan of Victoria Beckham's sheath dresses and this collection was definitely form fitting but with with a colorful sporty edge.  

Lead Lancôme make-up artist, Charlotte Tilbury created fresh and glowing skin with no color.  She wanted a more "handsome" and "sporty" look to compliment the clothes.  I personally prefer some color on the face, but this is an interesting look. What do you think?

New York City Fashion's Night Out: Serge Normat at John Frieda Salon Beauty Event

Hello Divas!

I hope life is wonderful.  I am having the worst week ever, but as my friend Renee C. says "it could be worst."

So of course Fashion's Night Out was a huge success in New York.  I was invited to the exclusive Serge Normat at John Frieda Salon Fashion's Night Out event, but of course I had obligations here in Atlanta.

So although I could not attend, I do have the scoop!  Over one hundred guests received expert hair advice and styling from John Frieda stylists; make-up touches by renowed celebrity makeup artist and brow expert Piret Aava, who is also the co-founder of Piret & Tamara Cosmetics.

Also guests enjoyed speciality cocktails by Xante Spirit and delicious sushi from Tanuki Tavern.

To top it all off, guests were gifted awesome goodie bags containing products from John Frieda, Piret &  Tamara, Completely Bare, POP!, Perfekt, Brazilian Peel, Autopalm, and June Jacobs.

Fun Fridays! Cynthia Rowley Band-Aid Fix Fashion Emergencies Contest!

Since we are heading into the most important week of all, Fashion Week, I will begin each post with a famous quote by my girl, Coco Chanel.

Lancôme at Victoria Beckham Fall 2011 Collection

I have more New York Fashion Week coverage and Lancôme’s make up team created the beauty look for Victoria Beckham's new Fall 2011 Collection. 


Victoria Beckham is becoming a fashion week sensation as her sheath dresses are all the rage.  This season, Victoria went with a "futuristic" theme with her dresses.  She showcased her classic sheath dresses with a slight edge and new balloon type dresses that were designed in gorgeous bright colors.  She paired the look with elegant hoodies and caps.  Lancôme’s make-up artist, Charlotte Tilbury drew inspiration from Victoria's collection and created a "futuristic and glowy" look.  Ms. Tilbury used Lancôme’s new Star Bronzer Natural Matte Bronzing Powder to create the glowing look.  She also used:

FACE:

Lancôme’s at the Chris Benz Fall 2011 Collection

Miracles happen everyday!  Just look around you.

I have been waiting to get the goods on the Chris Benz show and now here it is! I love his clothes and Lancôme has been doing the make-up "look" for his shows for some time now.  Well the look and the clothes did not disappoint.

I love it!  Lancôme lead make-up artist, Daniel Martin, went with a very colorful look that drew inspiration from Chris Benz's Fall 2011 collection.  Chris' collection had a "Southern Gothic" theme and was dark but also fabulous!

The Lancôme make-up team used two different looks for the models.  The first look consisted of an aubergine eye with a berry lip. (1st model)  The second look consisted of blue toned eye with a slightly rose stained lip.  What I love about these looks is that both look great on a dark skin tone, a fair skin tone and anything in between.  I am a true testament that Lancôme products work with ALL skin tones.  These looks are so natural looking but gorgeous! Plus the looks are not so over the top that you can't wear them everyday.

Specifically, the Lancôme products used were:

Teint Idole Foundation and Blush Subtil in Mauve Coquette

EYES:

Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Teal Fury (blue eye) and Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Mauve Cherie (aubergine eye)

Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week: More of Lancome Backstage at L'Wren Scott Show Fall

I hope your life is fabulous! Today is a gorgeous day so I am extremely happy.

Well Fashion Week is winding down but there is still more hot make-up looks to cover that have me anticipating Fall 2010. 

Lancôme  created the "smokin hot" make-up for the L"Wren Scott Show and they did not disappoint.  Lancôme Creative Director, Aaron De Mey, created a "glam rock" look that complemented L' Wren Scott's fabulously sexy clothes.

De Mey used Lancome Teinte Idole foundation (my favorite luxe foundation, it goes on like second skin) and Blush Subtil in Shimmer Mocha Havana on the cheeks.  However, the real star of the show is the Ombre Magnétique eyeshadow in Black used on the eyes. Love it!  This color is from Lancome Fall 2010 Collection and will certainly sell out. Check it out!

De Mey also used Ombre Magnétique, a gel-like shimmery shadow, in the inner corner of the eye.  Lancome's Hypnôse Drama Mascara completed the look.  The results? Sultry! 

The lips remained neutral and L’Absolu Rouge in Rich Cashmere and La Lacque Fever gloss in Sensation, on the lips.

The look was complete with a beautiful blue-grey nail polish.  Lancôme customized this color for L'Wren Scott.  This color does not have a name just yet, but be sure to look out for it this fall! I can't wait!

Mercedez-Benz New York Fashion Week: Backstage with Lancome

I hope your life is wonderful! It is so cold but still beautiful and sunny!  I love the Sun!

Although I could not attend Fashion Week this Spring, I still had to bring you Divas details from Backstage.  I was fortunate to get the scoop on Fall Make-up trends created by my fav luxe beauty brand, Lancome. 

First up the Victoria Beckam Show.  Lancome lead make-up artist, Francelle, created a look that included nude lips, silver eyes, and  shimmery skin.  Francelle's inspiration for this look was 1930's Old Hollywood Glamour.  Francelle derived this inspiration from Victoria Beckam Fall 2010 Collection which had a "Dick Tracy" vibe.  The products used are as follows:

Lancome lead make-up artist, Daniel Martin, created a "Gothic Chic" look to compliment Chris's line.  This look included smokey eyes in hues of charcoal grey and chocolate and for the lips, a "gradated" gothy lip using a matte lipstick and topping it off with Juicy Tubes lip gloss.

New York Fashion Week: Aveda Backstage At Christian Siriano

Hello Divas!

I am back! Yes I have been on a little hiatus, yes sometimes the Diva needs rest! But never fear, I am bringing my fab readers all the backstage hotness during Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week!

The fabulous hair stylists from Aveda, worked their magic at the Christian Siriano and Jason Wu shows.  And apparently up-dos will still be the trend for Fall 2010.  However, these up-dos are a bit more chic and glamourous!

When Christiano was creating his Fall 2010 line, he said his inspiration was "Parisian Women from the 1960s and the idea of getting "dressed up" from morning to evening."  "The line includes soft romantic shapes that compliment strong structured jackets, coats, and cocktail dresses."  Funny my friend Natasha and I were just having a dicussion about how women really dressed up in the 60s and our generation is so missing that. But I digress.   Lead Aveda Stylist, Antoinette Beenders drew from Christian Siriano's inspiration and created a 1960s Parision Glamour Wave Updo using Aveda Control Force Hairspray.  She said this look is great for a "very chic and glamourous evening."  I love it! Back to Glamour we go!
