New York City Fashion's Night Out: Serge Normat at John Frieda Salon Beauty Event

I hope life is wonderful.  I am having the worst week ever, but as my friend Renee C. says "it could be worst."

So of course Fashion's Night Out was a huge success in New York.  I was invited to the exclusive Serge Normat at John Frieda Salon Fashion's Night Out event, but of course I had obligations here in Atlanta.

So although I could not attend, I do have the scoop!  Over one hundred guests received expert hair advice and styling from John Frieda stylists; make-up touches by renowed celebrity makeup artist and brow expert Piret Aava, who is also the co-founder of Piret & Tamara Cosmetics.

Also guests enjoyed speciality cocktails by Xante Spirit and delicious sushi from Tanuki Tavern.

To top it all off, guests were gifted awesome goodie bags containing products from John Frieda, Piret &  Tamara, Completely Bare, POP!, Perfekt, Brazilian Peel, Autopalm, and June Jacobs.

Luxetips Events! Recap of Fashion's Night Out Atlanta

Life is hard, but always try to maintain an attitude of positivity and thankfulness.

Fashion's Night Out in Atlanta was....just okay.  I have to be honest, I did expect a little more planning, festivity, and excitement.  I don't know if people simply did not know about Fashion's Night Out Atlanta or were not interested.  Regardless we could have done much better.  There were no hip parties in the stores, celebrity hosts or sightings, and discounts were minimal at best.  It was eerily quiet at Phipps Plaza and Lenox Mall.

However, there were two events, and I went to "events" at least 10 stores, that did get me in the Fashion's Night Out mood.  Saks, and Neiman Marcus  did live up to FNO expectations.

After visiting a few stores at Phipps Plaza that did nothing for a true Fashion's Night Out experience, my friend Natasha G and I went to Saks to check out their event. Saks did not disappoint! They had several types of cocktails, nibbles, and offered guests a chance to dress in select Saks accesory merchandise to take professional red ( in this case beige) carpet photos! Nice!

They were also selling official FNO merchandise and they had a wonderful DJ in the shoe section.  Cosmetics counters such as NARS and Chanel had great discounts and deals.  Chanel had a nail bar set up and with the purchase of a Chanel nail polish, guests received FREE manicures.  We were one of the firsts in line and by the time we were done, there was a long line of folks waiting for manicures. Now that is what I am talking about.

After hanging out at Saks for the majority of our time, we drove over to Lenox Square Mall to check out Neiman Marcus.  Neiman Marcus also had a hip and happening partay going on!  They had a great DJ, a candy bar, gourmet cookies, and a bar with champagne, wine, and Sweetwater beer.  Sweetwater is an Atlanta brewing company and a staple in Atlanta.  They also had some great discounts on merchandise, lots of FNO merchandise and a similar red carpet photo op as Saks.

I hope Fashion's Night Out Atlanta will be bigger and better next year.  It was a decent time, but we should do better.

Fun Fridays! Cynthia Rowley Band-Aid Fix Fashion Emergencies Contest!

Since we are heading into the most important week of all, Fashion Week, I will begin each post with a famous quote by my girl, Coco Chanel.

Sigh.
