Vogue's Annual September issue is out!  It is gorgeous.  Included in Vogue's annual September issue,  is their top 100 fashion finds under $100 guide.  I love this portion!  Because let's be honest, $100 finds is definitely in my budget.

Lancôme at L'Wren Scott Fall 2011

Hello Divas!

Don't allow yourself to experience or feel doubt.  Remain Faithful and watch everything fall into place.

I have more New York Fashion Week coverage.  Today I am featuring the beauty looks created by Lancôme at the L'Wren Scott show.

Lancôme’s Artistic Director for Makeup Aaron De Mey,  created a look that centered around a  “Dangerous eye.”  I love that he used the word Dangerous because to me that means a fierce woman that is strong, mysterious, and sexy! Love it!  Aaron used black khôl liner, Lancôme’s new eyeshadow palette in Gris Fatale, and multiple coats of mascara to create this "dangerous" look.  Aaron kept the skin bare but dewey with a barely there lip.  With eyes like this, less is more!  I was particularly fascinated with Lancôme’s new fall nail color, Noir 29 (black with a pinch of gold shimmer).  It is HOT, HOT, HOT!!!

Lancôme at Victoria Beckham Fall 2011 Collection

I have more New York Fashion Week coverage and Lancôme’s make up team created the beauty look for Victoria Beckham's new Fall 2011 Collection. 


Victoria Beckham is becoming a fashion week sensation as her sheath dresses are all the rage.  This season, Victoria went with a "futuristic" theme with her dresses.  She showcased her classic sheath dresses with a slight edge and new balloon type dresses that were designed in gorgeous bright colors.  She paired the look with elegant hoodies and caps.  Lancôme’s make-up artist, Charlotte Tilbury drew inspiration from Victoria's collection and created a "futuristic and glowy" look.  Ms. Tilbury used Lancôme’s new Star Bronzer Natural Matte Bronzing Powder to create the glowing look.  She also used:

FOUNDATION:

Teint Miracle Lit-From-Within Foundation and Eclat Miracle Complexion Illuminator 

FACE: 

Gold highlighter, the gold shadow from Color Design 5 Shadow and Liner Palette in Jade Fever and Éclat Miracle Complexion Illuminator (used above the cheekbones, down the nose and above the cupid’s bow)

LIP:

Nude matte lipstick = L’Absolu Rouge La Base lip treatment and  Teint Miracle Instant Retouch Pen

Bronzy eyeshadow, Color Design 5 Shadow and Liner Palette in Taupe Craze and Aquatique Waterproof Eye Color Base 

Charlotte also used Lancôme’s

Lancôme’s at the Chris Benz Fall 2011 Collection

Hello Divas!

Miracles happen everyday!  Just look around you.

I have been waiting to get the goods on the Chris Benz show and now here it is! I love his clothes and Lancôme has been doing the make-up "look" for his shows for some time now.  Well the look and the clothes did not disappoint.

I love it!  Lancôme lead make-up artist, Daniel Martin, went with a very colorful look that drew inspiration from Chris Benz's Fall 2011 collection.  Chris' collection had a "Southern Gothic" theme and was dark but also fabulous!

The Lancôme make-up team used two different looks for the models.  The first look consisted of an aubergine eye with a berry lip. (1st model)  The second look consisted of blue toned eye with a slightly rose stained lip.  What I love about these looks is that both look great on a dark skin tone, a fair skin tone and anything in between.  I am a true testament that Lancôme products work with ALL skin tones.  These looks are so natural looking but gorgeous! Plus the looks are not so over the top that you can't wear them everyday.

Specifically, the Lancôme products used were:

FOUNDATION AND BLUSH:

Teint Idole Foundation and Blush Subtil in Mauve Coquette

EYES:

Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Teal Fury (blue eye) and Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Mauve Cherie (aubergine eye)

Hypnôse Mascara in Black

LIPS:

L’Absolu Nu in Evening Lace (paired with blue eye) and L’Absolu Nu in Satin Toffee (paired with aubergine eye)

Le Vernis in Bang Bang Red and Noir 29 (coming Fall 2011)

Aveda Creates Graceful Waves at the Christian Siriano Show

I am so thankful for God's grace.  It is more than sufficient.

So Aveda is creating some very cool and interesting looks for the BEST shows.  I remembered when I went to New York Fashion Week, I loved watching the Aveda team work their magic. They are so talented!

At the Christian Siriano show, Aveda's lead stylist Antoinette Beenders, created graceful waves using Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair, Aveda Air Control Hair Spray, and Aveda Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray. 

“The Christian Siriano hair for this season is sinuous and matte—beautiful waves that are neither too beachy nor too glam.  It’s pretty in the simplest way.” — Antoinette Beenders for Aveda.

Ms. Beenders' inspiration for creating the soft wavy look was Christian's collection which was inspired by the "graceful beauty of orchid flower petals." Lovely.

Here is the look:

The stylists first loosely braided the hair and then gently pressed each braid with a flat iron.

Next, the braids were let loose and combed out.  The stylist set the look with Aveda Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray.

Finished look!

This look will work with all hair types that have been blown out.  I really really like this.

Revlon creating a splash at Rag and Bone show

Hello Divas!

Revlon's Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman created an "Urban Chic" look for the Rag & Bone show.

Mr. Westman paired a smoky eye with sun burnt skin.  His inspiration was Rag & Bone's collection which was a "vision of an urban Eskimo."  Specifically he stated, “The look is about a nomadic traveler. She’s an effortless Eskimo,” says Westman. “I created a smoky coal-hued eye and a sun burnt look to the skin.”

Aveda Twisted Ponytails Backstage at Jason Wu

Hello Divas!

Always forgive and let go.  Harboring anger and resentment only poisons your body and soul.

As promised, I am updating you Divas on some fabulous beauty looks being created for Fall 2011 at New York Fashion Week.  First up, hairstyles from Aveda:

At the Jason Wu show, lead Aveda stylist Odile Gilbert created a sleek and elegant gilded twist using Aveda Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener, Aveda Brilliant Spray-On Shine, and Aveda Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray.   Odile also coated the hair with 24 karat gold leaf to echo the gold accents and feathers from the collection.  Now walking around with 24 karat gold leaf in your hair is definitely not "everyday practical" but the twisted ponytail is definitely different and intriguing.





And of course Jason Wu is a fashion star and never disappoints.  Love these clothes!
