I love my Acura MDX. I love that it has 3 rows. I love the design. But more importantly, I love the technology. It is truly a tech lover's dream vehicle.
My Acura MDX is 6 years old and it is about that time for an upgrade. Last May, I had to get an enormous amount of work done on my car and I was given a
2011 fully-loaded Acura MDX as a loaner. Fortunately for me and the luxe kids, we had the vehicle for one whole month and it was the best driving experience I have ever had. Why? Well let me break it down for you.
The interior was super luxe. It contained butter leather seats, gorgeous wood grain and most importantly super durable rubber mats. I have never had rubber mats. In my opinion it is a must. Chocolate milk spills and food crumbs are easily disposed of by simply wiping the mat down or dusting it. No need to worry about stained carpet. Yeah!
Of course it comes with a USB connection that easily connects your Iphone/IPod. Once the Ipod is connected, each track displays on the center display and you can select tracks through the audio system or through the controls on the steering wheel. Of course surround sound comes standard.
Now the best thing about this vehicle is the outstanding Navigation system. Acura really took it to the next level with this system. I had to drive to Hilton Head with the luxe kids and I simply put in the address of the resort and the system got me to my destination with such precision and accuracy it was astonishing. I have used other navigation/GPS systems and most of the time they don't work or will give you a route that it out of the way. Not the Acura Navigation System. It calculated the shortest and most direct route to perfection. Also if I needed to find a restaurant, ice cream shop, or gas station, I simply used the voice commands and the navigation system pulled up the nearest retailer. Genius.
Also it comes with AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic™ with Traffic Rerouting™ information and AcuraLink Real-Time Weather™. These systems are very useful in getting around traffic.
The safety features are pretty hot too. The MDX comes with the Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) system which uses an array of sensors, along with ABS, and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®), to reduce the dangers of oversteer or understeer.
The ride was super smooth and quiet. Plus the MDX is amazingly spacious. We had enough room for sports gear, play dates, movie nights and leg room. I tell you, I love the 2011 MDX so much! I can't wait until I can go walk in the showroom and pick the triple black model.....black exterior, interior, and maybe some black rims??? LOL!
