This post is long overdue, but I have to share my latest eye color obsession. 

Lancôme’s Color Design single eyeshadows are phenemenol. I love the smooth texture, the pigment, and the staying power. Here are two colors I was recently given the opportunity to try.

Lancôme’s Make It Work, a bright sea green. My favorite!

Lancôme’s Volcano, a shimmer taupe-grey. This is great for a smokey eye.

Lancôme’s Artliner Precison Point eyeliner in Beach Gem, a sparkly dark green.  These eyeliners are perfection.  The point is very fine and you get a perfectly lined eye in an amazing color.  In addition, the colors do not run or fade.  The best.

I wore these colors consistently while at BlogHer in San Diego and I kept getting compliments on how great my eye make-up looked.  I know I need to start doing pics of me wearing the make-up.  I am getting there. LOL!

Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Covergirl Smoky Shadow Blast

When I attended Blogalicious 2010, the beautiful ladies of Style Mom and Afrobella hosted a swanky party and all attendees received gift bag full of beauty goodies.  One of the items in my gift bag was this Covergirl Smoky Shadow Blast.  I thought the colors were pretty cool, but did not really use it until December of last year.

I love this eye duo.  It comes in two bold shades and it is specifically designed to create a bold smokey eye.  One end of the pencil has a rounded tip and the other end has a tapered tip.  Step 1 includes using the rounded tip from lash line to brow bone and using the color on the lower lash line as well.  Step 2 includes using the tapered more subdued color in the crease of your upper lid and your lash line.  Blend both colors together and Presto!,  you have the perfect smokey eye.

I have used the the SmokyShadowBlast to create a smokey eye and I have used them separately as an eyeliner or as a sweep of color on my eye lid.  The color are so bold and beautiful, just a little gives my face a small pop of color that is sexy while also being understated.  The best thing about Covergirl's SmokyShadowBlast is the pencil's texture.  It is creamy dreamy!  Seriously it glides on so smooth, it just caresses your eye.  I am a sucker for soft and smooth eye pencils.

Sonia Kashuk Bent Eyeliner Brush

Last week I wrote a post about Lancome's Indigo Charm Gel Eyeliner. Because the eyeliner is a gel and is packaged in a small pot, I had to purchase an eyeliner brush to apply it. I knew Sonia Kashuk would probably have an eyeliner brush that was affordable and good quality. I picked up the Sonia Kashuk Bent Eyeliner Brush because the packaging stated that the bent brush "works with the natural shape of the eye" and it was only $5.99!

First I love that the eyeliner brush has a protective plastic covering for the tip. Good eye hygiene is important! The brush is bent at an angle at the tip and the tip of the brush is very fine. When I begin to apply the gel eyeliner with the brush, I was surprised to find that the brush is very firm. The combination of the brush's fine tip and firmness work together to create a perfect line when applying eye liner. Considering this was my very first time using gel eyeliner, this brush allowed me to apply the eyeliner with ease. I had no problem at all. I had total control over how and where I applied the eyeliner. Genius! If you are on a budget, this is a perfect eyeliner brush to have in your beauty arsenal.

Lancôme Declaring Indigo Collection, Indigo Charm Ink Artliner

I am so excited! Lancome's new fall collection, Declaring Indigo, is now available online at Lancome-usa.com. Remember the post I wrote about this collection and gushed over that beautiful electric blue nail polish?

Well I was given the opportunity to try the Indigo Charm Ink Artliner from the collection. This is a gel eyeliner and normally I do not wear eyeliner. However, due to the GORGEOUS Indigo blue color, I had to try it!

The gel eyeliner is packaged in a neat little pot, so I had to purchase an eyeliner brush to apply it. I purchased a superb Sonia Kashuk eyeliner brush (a review coming soon) and began to play!

First the color is insane! It is a deep electric blue and will look great on ANY skintone. The gel eyeliner glides on like a dream and you can easily smudge it out for a smokey look or keep it precise for a more defined look. Because I love the Indigo blue color so much, I chose to smudge it out so I could get more of the color on my lids. Here is the result:

Simply Beautiful! Love Love Love! This color is going to be the "IT" color for fall. So Divas make sure you grab products from this collection now before it sells out!
