Luxetips Kids!: Luxe Baby Mini-Boden Wish List

Luxe baby is a diva on epic levels.  I am still trying to figure out where she got it from. :)

Luxe baby attends a crunchy school, so I don't spend a lot of money on clothes.  They are very hands on and encourage kids to wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting stained or dirty.  So on most days she wears Target brand clothes.  However, once a year, I like to spend at least $100 at Mini-Boden to get luxe baby some really luxe items.  I always get her a nice cardigan and a couple of dresses.  That is all $100 will get you a Mini-Boden.  But I can attest the clothes are high quality and they last.  The cardigans at Mini Boden are phenomenol.  The retain their shape, color, and durability.  She can usually wear them for a couple of years...until she outgrows them.

This year I was browsing the online catalog and saw a few items she MUST have.  These items will definitely take me out of my $100 spending limit, but she (I) want them so bad. LOL!

Pumpkin Funky Duffie Coat.

What is more classic than a Duffice coat with toggle buttons?  Nothing.  Plus this gorgeous pumpkin color is insane!  Since Atlanta keeps getting colder and colder each winter, this is a must! Retail price is $95.

Everyday Cardigan in Rich Blue.

Luxe baby has had this same cardigan in other colors, but this blue just screams classic luxe.  It will go with all of her clothes. It retails for $46.

Velour Hooded Dress.

Now every Diva, mommies and tots, should have a nice velour hooded dress.  I love these.  Now I just need to find one for myself. This dress retails for $48.

Faux Fur is HOT!!!

Day 18

Environmentally friendly designers have stepped up their game and are including a host of fur pieces in their Winter lines. Fur is such a huge trend right now, that faux furs have been given a more luxurious look at more affordable prices. Being from the South, there is rarely an opportunity to wear fur without looking a little offbeat. Our Summer extends well into Fall, and our Winters are more of a Northern Summer. There are some furs that  I would rock in our current 60 degree weather.

 

I am an old school girl, so the two faux coats that speak to me are reminiscent of old Hollywood. The first is a collarless brown faux rabbit that reminds me of the early Eighties. It has hook and eye closures, puff sleeves, and is fully lined. You almost don't need a reason to wear it.   The Pins and Needles Puff Sleeve Faux Fur Coat is $168.00 at Urban Outfitters.

 

The second coat, the Just My Luxe, is a  black faux mink with collar. It is a very retro waistcoat with quarter-length sleeves and a ribboned belt. The Just My Luxe Jacket is $97.99 at Modcloth.

 

There is also a sweater that caught my eye. The Irina Cardigan has a fur collar cardigan, making the sweater a perfect match for any dress and would look sweet even with jeans. The major selling point for me is the detachable collar. Translation I can make any of my coats and cardigans a lush throwback. The Irina Cardigan is $198.00 at Anthropologie.
