Voluspa Candles at Anthropologie

I was long over due for another Voluspa Japonica candle. My favorite, Baltic Amber, had long since burnt. Deciding not to get stuck in a rut, I sampled some of the newer Japonicafragrances and some of the older ones that I had ignored time and again for the Baltic Amber. I kept coming back to my usual, entranced by the musky scent of the Baltic Amber. The Baltic Amber is a mix of amber resin, cedar, vanilla bean and sandalwood. I love vanilla and sandalwood so you can see the attachment to the Baltic Amber.

 

I ran across the French Cade and Lavender. Clearly obsessed with anything French, I decided on the French Cade because hoping that the light smell of Southern French country would bring my upcoming trip some much needed good karma (I will not discuss the passport situation). TheFrench Cade and Lavender, contain aromatics of Fench Cade Wood, lavender bulgaria, verbena and moss. The lavender is not overpowering and the verbena is a light and refreshing  scent that makes the French Cade more appropriate for the season. Every fashionable woman deserves a fashionable candle. The decorative Voluspa Japonica tins  alone are worth the purchase. Each is painted in a signature color that strikes with the fragrance. The 12 ounce candles burn for hours on end- 60 to be exact. Luxetips Home Fragrance: Laura Slatkin Candles

I hope your Monday has been wonderful!  I am busy and thankful.....and always hopeful!

Over the holidays, I was given the opportunity to test some pretty amazing candles.  If you know me, you know I LOVE candles!  There is nothing like walking into a warm inviting home and being greeted by a beautiful scent.  Fabulous!

Laura Slatkin is a luxury home fragrance expert and she has several line of candles to make your home smell heavenly.  Her newest creation is Project Art by Nest Fragrances.  The Project Art line includes candles, reed diffusers, and some body products such as liquid hand soap and hand lotion.  The collection includes 12 core fragrances and also offer beautiful packaging.  I had the opportunity to try the candles and let me tell you my home has never smelled so rich, gorgeous, and inviting.

I was able to test out the Cinnamon Spice and Pumpkin scented candles.  All I can say is wow!  The cinnamon spice candle was absolutely my favorite.  It gave my home a very rich cinnamon and berry smell and the scent was very crisp and clean.  The Pumpkin candle was equally great but in a different way.  The Pumpkin scent was very very strong.  It reminded me of my childhood and coming home to a house filled with smells of baking cakes and pies.  It is my comfort candle.  What I love about these candles is that long after you blow out the wicker, the scents just linger and linger for days.  Isn't that awesome?!!!

The candles burn slowly and last a very long time.  I can burn them all night and it does not burn the candle down that much at all.  Divas I promise these are the best candles you will ever buy.

Are you enjoying the 12 Days of Luxetips Before Christmas? I hope so! It is so much fun!

During the holidays I always purchase a holiday inspired candle so my home can smell all Christmasy! A good pumpkin spice or cranberry candle can definitely put me in the mood for Christmas. I usually buy high end candles at Ross. You can get Yankee candles for up to 80% off. I love Ross for home products! Here are some of my favorite candles:

Yankee Candle Spiced Pumpkin. Smells just like a warm pumpkin pie. Divine.

Body Shop's Merry Cranberry Candle. This candle has such an intense berry smell. Plus this candle is soy based!

Fun Fridays! Pekuliar Treasures Opening & Cool Sales

Hello Divas!

It is Friday! I hope your day is wonderful! My favorite thrift store, the Junior League of Atlanta, Nearly New Shop is having another 50% off everything sale today, October 31st. Read my review of this awesome thrift store here. You can find gently used high end jeans, shoes, cashmere sweaters, and purses. Also I want to remind you that today is the last day for the 50% off all candles sale Le Creatif Designs is having. This interior design and furniture showroom has the BEST candles. Check out the sale in the ad. Lastly, I attended the Pekuliar Treasures Boutique grand opening last Saturday. The boutique is truly lovely. The space is creative and comfy. It looks and feels like a lovely artistic home. Great idea! I met Timeesha, the event planner for the opening and she has a blog entitled, Posh Events. Her blog gives fantastic tips on event planning and she did an awesome review of the grand opening. I could not had said it better myself! Check it out here! And yes that is Moi, in the last pic!

Fun Fridays: Cool Sale and other stuff

I hope your Friday is awesome! Well it is very cold, rainy and dark in Atlanta. I think I am going to take the day off and sit on the couch with luxe baby and a blanket! But you know I had to tell you ladies about a super awesome sale. Le Creatif Designs, an interior design and furniture showroom, is having a 50% off sale on all candles! I repeat a 50% off sale on all candles! Why am I so excited? Because my hubby purchased a Danya Decker candle for me last year from Le Creatif Designs. I loooove candles and Danya Decker candles come in a gorgeous container, the scent is very intense and lovely, and they last for a year. No kidding! These are the best candles. They usually retail for $40.00 but they are now $20.00! I am so going to stock up! Le Creatif Designs has an awesome showroom and they sale tons of cool furniture and accessories.
