I am always in search of good facial products.  I have oily skin and always need to cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize to keep my skin balanced.  But my skin is also very very sensitive, so I am very careful to choose facial products that are for sensitive skin, natural or organic.  So when I was offered the opportunity to test, Juice Beauty's, Green Apple Peel, I was more than excited.  You see Juice Beauty is an organic skin care line that is certified organic, and free of parabens, petroleum, propylene or butylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, pesticides, phthalates, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances. So you can rest assured when using Juice Beauty products, you are only getting the purest ingredients on the planet.

The Green Apple Peel is beyond amazing.  It contains potent alpha and beta hydroxy acid complex (the good stuff!) with certified organic apple, lemon, grape, raw cane sugar and willow bark.  The recommended use is once per week, but I have been using it twice a week because my skin needed some serious rejuvenation.  After washing and toning my face, I apply a thick layer of the Green Apple Peel to my face and neck.  I let it sit for 15 minutes.  During the 15 minute wait, it does tingle but only a little bit.  I rinse and my skin feels baby smooth and is definitely brighter.   It is awesome!  The formula is light weight and because it is organic, my sensitive skin loves it.  I have been using the product for 4 weeks and I have not experienced any irritation or break outs.

California Baby Calendula Everyday Lotion

Sometimes I discuss fashion or beauty products for luxe baby. Yes, luxe baby is a little Diva and she has to have the best of the best! LOL! I am currently in LOVE with California Baby's Calendula Everyday Lotion. This lotion is the bomb! First, the lotion is 100% organic! I just simply can not use anything full of chemicals on her beautiful delicate skin! It contains the active botanical, Calendula. Calenduala has wonderful healing properties that are proven to relieve irritation and itching due to eczema, poison ivy/oak/sumac, chickenpox, sunburn and insect bites. It is also non-comedogenic so it will not clog pores. Also it is super moisturizing but non-greasy. When I put it on luxe baby, it immediately absorbs into her skin. Plus it smells just lovely! It is infused with French Lavender. Luxe baby loves it! When I apply the lotion on her after bathe time, she holds out her little hand and rubs it on her body. Like mommy like daughter! Love it! And of course the lavender instantly puts her to sleep. What is there not to love about this lotion???!!!

Also, the website claims this lotion is a great facial moisturizer. Yep, especially if you have normal to oily skin or acne prone skin. The Calendula is good for the acne! Go figure. Frownies: Do They Work?

I hope your Monday is full of renewed energy and strength!

Although I like to think of myself as a positive person, I do frown a lot. I developed this pesky habit as a teenager and have kept it throughout my adult life. As a result, I have developed frown lines smack dab in the middle of my forehead! Ugh! So what is a Diva to do? I want to try Botox but just can't warm up to the idea of having poison injected into my face. There are other treatments like Juvederm but of course they are all expensive. Well I heard that Frownies was a great inexpensive way to get rid of wrinkles naturally. Many Hollywood leading ladies claim to use Frownies to keep their face wrinkle free. So last winter I purchased a box of Frownies and the Frownies Rose Water adhesive spray from Whole Foods and tried them out for a couple of weeks. Why did I stop using them? My daughter was very new then and I just was too tired to keep up the nightly routine. I am being honest! This is the routine: Wet the self-adhesive back of the frownie and stretch the wrinkled skin taut. You then apply the Frownie, making sure it sticks and go to bed. In the morning, you simply wet the Frownie and remove. If you don't sleep with the Frownie, you should keep it on for a least 3 hours.

Well I have decided to re-try the Frownies. I feel that my wrinkles are getting deeper and I want to look as young and fresh as possible. LOL! So I am inviting my readers to join me weekly as I document my experience with Frownies. I will include photos and please leave comments on whether you think they are working or not! Here is my first pre-Frownie pic.

As you can see the wrinkles are there! I will post an update every Monday! This should be fun!

Eucalyptus Oil: A Natural Pick Me Up and Healer

Divas I want to share my love for pure Eucalyptus Oil. It is one of my favorite natural and pure beauty oils. I first started using Eucalyptus Oil when luxe baby developed a slight head cold. I read that placing a few drops in her bath and on her clothing would help with the congestion while soothing her. Well after one day of following this regimen, luxe baby was healed! No kidding! After this positive experience, I started doing more research on Eucalyptus Oil. I found that it is also an aroma therapeutic product. Placing a few drops in a shower or bath, will give you an instant pick me up. It wakes you up and gives you an invigorating feeling. So if I am sluggish in the morning or just need a little pick me up, I place a few drops of Eucalyptus Oil in my shower and I feel like I can take on anything. I feel energized and refreshed! In addition, I use Eucalyptus Oil if I am experiencing a stuffy nose. Works like a charm every time.

You can purchase pure Eucalyptus Oil from Whole Foods or any other natural foods store. The brand I buy is produced by Now Personal Care. A 4 oz. bottle retails for about $6.00. They also carry a ton of other pure natural oils.

Coconut Oil = Beautiful Hair

I hope your Monday is wonderful! Today I must gush about the fabulousness of coconut oil. I first learned about the benefits of using coconut oil on my hair from DE of Beauty Logic. It is her secret for Beautiful Hair! Well since DE raved about coconut oil so much, I started using it 4 months ago. Per DE's suggestion, I apply a liberal amount of organic coconut oil to my scalp (I also massage my scalp) and hair the night before a salon visit. After my hair is washed and styled, my hair is super shiny, bouncy and just healthy. In addition, my stylist is amazed at how fast my hair is growing. My hair has not grown this fast in years! In addition, if my hair is a little dry, I apply a teeny teeny amount to the ends of my hair and it works like a charm. Plus I use it on luxe baby's hair. It is great for moisturizing her hair...its organic and all natural. Perfect for luxe baby. As DE suggested, I use Spectrum brand Organic Coconut Oil. You can purchase it at Whole Foods.
