I have had the opportunity to do a fair amount of traveling lately but none of which has been to the beach. Two of my colleagues are getting some fun in this sun this week while I will be stuck in the drudges. (I know... I already had my vacation.)

 

I had noticed myself drawn to ocean blue sandals, namely a pair the Cole Haan Haven and more recently the Secluded Island Sandal at Modcloth. It was then I realized I must be missing something- the ocean.  No beach trip for me this year. Having the pics of these two of these rich blue beauties in my web browser may be as close as I get to the beach for now. They are perfect as you can wear them into late Summer and perhaps even sneak them into early Fall.

Luxetips Kids! Tsukihoshi Shoes

Regardless of how much fame, status and wealth you accumulate, always treat everyone (CEOs to the homeless) with the same respect and courtesy.

My little luxe baby is really not a baby anymore, but she is my baby.  She really is a little luxe Diva, with a capital D. Believe it. Where did she get this from? Anywhoo, last week I realized she could not fit any of her shoes.  In one year her feet have grown 2 sizes. It is just astounding. So we had to go shoe shopping.  We went to a very cute children's boutique shoe store, Sprong Shoes, in Atlanta.  I like Sprong because they have high quality and unique shoes that I can't find anywhere else.  Plus they always have sales!

When luxe baby was 18 months, I purchased her a pair of Tsukihoshi Shoes from Sprong.  Now I had never heard of this line, but the Sprong salesperson raved about them and plus they were on sale.  So I gave them a whirl and I loved them! Tsukihoshi Shoes are from Japan and their motto is "hyper-functional shoes for kids".  These shoes are designed for balanced-landing.  Most children walk on their arches and Tsukihoshi shoes are designed to stabilize the foot.  Since childrens' arches in their feet are still forming, Tsukihoshi shoes have molded cup insoles to support a child's developing arch. They are light and flexible and provide a bare-foot like comfort for your child.

Most importantly, the inside sole is made with green tea leaf extract which neutralizes odor and keeps the foot cool.  It is also removable, so you won't damage the sole when washing.  And oh yeah, the number one reason I bought the shoes is that they are machine washable.

Plus they are so darn cute.  I purchased luxe baby the silver, pink and fuschia Tsukihoshi 06 shoe and they are so adorable.  Luxe baby will wear these shoes all summer.  I just pray she doesn't outgrow them until Fall hits.

The Tsukihoshi 06 shoe retails for $52.  Now the price is a little bit more than what I would normally pay, but considering the benefits and technology of the shoe, it is worth it.  Plus her last pair of Tsukihoshi shoes, which I paid $20 for on sale, took a licking and kept on ticking.  When she outgrew them, those shoes were in in top condition. I was impressed.

Evian Facial Spray: Refreshingly cool.

Worrying only produces wrinkles and stress. So don't sweat life.  It all works out in the end.

I love a product that wakes me up, cools me down, and keeps me refreshed.  Evian facial spray is this product.  I have the 1.7 oz sized bottle and it is perfect for traveling and easily fits in any size purse.  I started using this product last summer at the beach.  It instantly cooled me down while also making me feel awake and refreshed.  I used it on myself and the luxe kids.  They thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Evian facial spray contains the mineral properties of the original Evian water.  It also has a neutral PH.  It is great for all skin types and works best when it is used several times a day.   I still use it in the Winter months.  While it is cooling and refreshing it also moisturizes the skin.  Sometimes I spray it over my make-up to create a soft dewey look.  Creating a dewey look in the Winter months is a hard feat, but Evian facial spray make it easy.

Fun Fridays! Havaiana Flip Flops Sale

I hope you are having the best day ever. 

Summer is coming to a close and that means tons of summer items on sale.  One of my favorite items I have seen on sale this week are Havainas.  I know you Divas know about Havainas...the Brazilian flip flops shoe line that is all the rage.  Divas I tell you these flip flops are super cute, durable, and comfy.  Plus they last.  Once you buy a pair, you can pretty much guarantee you will have them for years.  What is there not to like?

Although summer is coming to a close, I continually use my Havainas all year long.  I wear them just lounging in my home.  I wear them to the nail salon so when I get my pedicure, I can wear my cute Havaianas flips flops instead of the salon little paper sandals.  I detest the paper flip flops because they always come right off. Ugh!

Hot Ulta Find of the Week: Mizani Humidity Resistant Mist

I have been wearing shirtdresses since college and I adore them.  They are simple yet sexy.  I am particularly loving this Ralph Lauren shirtdress.  They are cute with heels or flats!

My sister just purchased the cutest black halter romper and I was like "I have to have one of these".  However, I always wonder about the whole bathroom thing! LOL!  Anyhoo, this cheetah print romper with boyfriend jacket is classy with a punch of pizazz! Love it!

One Shoulder Dresses

Michelle Obama has made one shoulder dresses HOT!  I love the print and the fit of this dress.  Dress it up for a night on the town, or wear it slightly casual with flats. Gorgeous!

Summer Time Series: Day Three, Show Stopping Sandals!

I am wishing each and every one of you a FANTABULOUS day! My message today has to deal with compassion.  Compassion means giving people grace and forgiveness despite the circumstances.  Be compassionate!

So we have covered smoking shades and divalicious swimsuits.  But you need shoes to complete your look!  Here are a few styles that are "in" for Summer 2010.


Wedges

I love the look of wedges but I am afraid to wear them!  I guess it has something to do with that nasty fall I took in college rocking suede wedged sandals! But I love to see them on other people.  Plus today's style are sky high! Love the look! These Christian Louboutin Espadrille wedges are insane!


Platforms

In my humble opinion, platforms never go out of style.  They are super sexy, sky high, and surprisingly comfy.  I love the bone color and buckles on these Micheal Kors Gansevoort Platforms.

I see these style sandals everyday!  They are beautiful, comfy, and different.  Steve Madden always have great sandals and they have tons of gorgeous flats to choose from.

Summer Time Series: Day One, Diva Fly Shades

I hope your life is just wonderful!  Regardless of what you are going through, life is beautiful.  Keep living and striving and it gets better!

This week I am doing a What's Hot for Summer Series.  Basically, I will feature the latest and greatest styles in swimwear, accessories, shoes, and fashion.  Today I am going to feature some smoking hot shades that every Diva should consider rocking this summer.  Here are my top 3:

Oversize Mirrored Aviators

These shades are a classic and "Carrie" from SATC2 just brought this Diva shade back into fashion.  They scream Diva, Super Cool, and Mysterious!


Cat Eye Shades

I personally think Cat Eye Shades are making a comeback.  These Persol Cat Eye Shades are gorgeous!  I love the print!  Simply Divalicous!

White Oversize Shades

I just do not believe these will ever go out of style.  I had a fabulous pair of white oversize square shades and I lost them.  They were so sick!  Pair these with a scarf wrapped around your head and a drop top sports car?  Va Va Voom!

N.Y.C. Nail Polish: Is it Worth Buying?

Well it is official. Summer is here! This is the time to get regular manis and pedis and experiment with nail color. Of course, bright colors are always hot in the summer. This is why I decided to try N.Y.C. Nail Colors. I was looking for a nice yellow to wear when I am relaxing and not working! They had a great yellow and a host of other bright and funky colors. So I gave it a try.

First, the price point is great! Who can beat nail polish at 99 cents? However, the formula is very thin. I had to apply 4 coats to achieve the yellow color in the bottle. Next, the polish constantly streaked while applying. Even after applying 4 coats and drying, I never achieved a smooth finish. Just streaks, streaks, streaks! Not good. The one thing I did like about this polish is that it drys very quickly. Now that was impressive. How does it compare to Wet n' Wild's nail polish? Wet n' Wild is crushing N.Y.C. Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets

I hope your week is fab! My week is going great, but I need a vacay! My hot drugstore find of the week is Clean and Clear's Oil Absorbing Sheets. Love these! These sheets absorb excess oil from your face without disturbing your make-up! I have been using them for a month now and they are a life saver.
