Luxetips Events! Jason Wu Wows at Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2011

Monday night I attended the annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares Fashion Show in Atlanta.  The Jeffrey Fashion Cares Fashion Show is a fundraiser benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Atlanta Affiliate Chapter and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF).

The host, Jeffrey Kalinsky owns the famous shoe store Jeffrey's in New York and Atlanta.  He founded Jefferey Fashion Cares 18 years ago to give back to his community. Fabulous!

The event took place at 12th & Midtown, on the 32nd floor, in the Loews Hotel building.  Talk about an AMAZING view. It is a stunning event space.

Jason Wu was the guest designer this year and his collection was fabulous.

Before the event, there was a media meet and greet in the Presidential Suite of the Loews Hotel.  There was delicious food, good company and we were given the opportunity to preview a new tequila called Casa Dragones.

Afterwards, my friend Natasha and I stepped into the elevator to attend the main event.  Little did we know our elevator mate would be Jason Wu.  He was very polite and of course dressed in an appropriate signature black suit.  That was the highlight of my evening.  What can I say, I am a fashion stan!

We arrived at the main event and of course the space is beautiful and there are lots of gorgeous Atlanta peeps.

And of course we were there for a fashion show and Mr. Wu did not disappoint.  The clothes were so elegant and classic.  That is my style...classic.

Afterwards there was a hip after party at Opera nightclub.  The space was transformed into a Hawaiian paradise and there were flip flops, hawaiian inspired food, hula dancer and fire performers.

I met Claire from The Fashion Bomb Daily at the Fashion Show and we ended up hanging out that evening.  I have been reading the Fashion Bomb for years!  It was a treat to meet Claire in person.  She is originally from Atlanta also and was visiting her family.  She is just Fabulous!

Proenza Schouler: Special Guest at Jeffrey Fashion Cares

Well today is Tuesday and I have exactly a few more days until I land in NYC for Blogher 2010.  I am getting a little excited! I will be speaking about "Mastering Intellectual Property Law on the Internet" so be sure to follow @IPLAW101 to get the tweets and updates.  Good info!

But for all of you Fashionistas and Divas, the annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares charity event and fashion show is around the corner.  Yes, this is the fashion event of the year in Atlanta!  Jeffrey Fashion Cares was founded by New York and Atlanta fashion retailer Jeffrey Kalinsky.  Jeffrey owns Jeffrey's Atlanta and New York and the all important high end shoe mecca, Bob Ellis.  If you live in Atlanta, you know about Bob Ellis in Phipps Plaza.  Jeffrey Fashion Cares benefits the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Atlanta Affiliate and the Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund.  Jeffrey Fashion Cares has been around for 18 years and has raised approximately $9 million dollars. Fashion for a cause?  An event after my own heart!

This year's special guest designers are the masterminds behind Proenza Schouler, Jack McCoullough and Lazaro Hernandez.  If you have never heard of the line, you should.  At last year's New York Fashion Week, this show was the hottest ticket in town! Certifiable.  The clothes feature their signature "tailored coats in lush menswear patterns, sleek pencil skirts, and color-blocked chiffon evening gowns with satin belts.  Check it out!

In addition, this year's Honorary Chair is Sara Blakely, the creator and owner of Spanx.  Wow!  The event has changed locations this year and will be held at the prestigious 12th & Midtown complex on the 33rd floor.  This new development features the Loews Hotel and other fine retail shops and restaurants.  This year's event promises to be phenomenal!  The event takes place August 30, 2010 at 7pm.  For ticket information, please visit here.

Fun Fridays! Meet Fashion Designer Rachel Roy at Macy's

It is Fun Fridays! Yeah!  Boy I love Fridays! The luxe kids and I always do something special. Love it!

This Saturday, the style icon and fashion designer, Rachel Roy, will meet shoppers and introduce her Spring 2010 Collection of her Rachel Rachel Roy line at Macy's Lenox Square Mall, Atlanta, GA.  Rachel will discuss her inspiration behind the line and showcase the designs.

Ms. Roy's Rachel line is more affordable than her signature Rachel Roy Designer Collection and "expresses a fresh version of glamour and youthfulness that reflects today's urban sophistication."  The price range for the Rachel line starts at $29 and maxes out at $299!  My kind of prices! Woot!  Now we all can have afford a Rachel Roy piece!

Of course there will be a fashion show, music and hors d'oeuvres for all guests.  And if you purchase $100 of more of Rachel Rachel Roy, you will receive a Spring 2010 Collection Look Book and a special gift!

Next month, the biggest fashion show in Atlanta will take place! Jeffrey Fashion Cares Atlanta is a charitable fashion event benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta Aids Partnership Fund. This year the special guest will be none other than Jason Wu!!! Wowza!!! Jeffrey Fashion Cares is a major who's who event in Atlanta. This is the event's 17th Anniversary and will feature the best of the best in Fashion! Jeffrey's is one of my favorite "luxe" stores. The store features luxe shoes from Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Prada, Gucci and more! Individual tickets start at $1500! But it is all for a good cause! Recap of Neiman Marcus Fashion Show

Hello Divas!

I hope life is just beautiful in your world! Last Friday I attended the Neiman Marcus Fashion at Lenox Square Mall, Atlanta, GA. The people were fabulous, the models gorgeous, and the clothes from Neiman Marcus beautiful. Of course it did not hurt that they served champagne. Lol! Check out some pics from the show!

This event was so much fun! Plus they gave out awesome goody bags. The bags included a silk Nicole Miller scarf, satin sleep mask (every Diva should have one), Croc hat and wristbands (these items went to luxe hubby and luxe son), and tons of coupons!

I am really looking forward to attending the next Neiman Marcus fashion show!

Honorable Mentions and Lenox Mall Fashion Show

I want to remind you Divas that Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta is having free fashion shows tonight April 24 at 7pm and tomorrow April 25th from 1pm-5pm. The shows will feature fashions from Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Macy's, Betsey Johnson, Club Monaco, Ann Taylor Loft, Guess, Banana Republic, Steve Madden and more. There will also be Style Shops hosted by Kiehls, Aveda, The Body Shop, and L'Occitane. If you are in Atlanta this is a great way to spend a Saturday!

And this week has been my week! I won TWO, yes TWO beauty prizes featuring products from my absolutely favorite make up brand, Lancome! Woohoo! I won the Lancome Genefique giveaway hosted by Mischo Beauty. I have been wanting to try this product since it hit the market! Fun Fridays! Fashions Shows and Sales

I hope your day is awesome! Today is Friday. The last official day of Spring Break. It has been fun, but Monday it is back to the grind! lol!

If you live in the Atlanta area, Lenox Square Mall is having FREE runway fashion shows on April 24 and 25. The shows takes place at 7:30 pm on April 24 and 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4pm, and 5 pm on April 25. The show on Friday will feature new spring fashions from Neiman Marcus. The Saturday shows will feature spring and summer fashions from Bloomingdales, Macy's, Betsey Johnson, Club Monaco, Ann Taylor Loft, Guess, Banana Republic, Steve Madden and more!

Also for you beauty junkies, Kiehls, Aveda, The Body Shop, and the maker of my favorite hand cream, L'Occitane, will host Style Shops where shoppers can get an up close and personal look at new spring and summer beauty products! You know I will be at these shops! The fashion shows sound like a lot of fun and I hope to see you Divas there!
