Another cool corset top is the Pesisir Top. Curious to know what pesisir was, I took a quick look on Wikipedia* and found that it is a type of Batik practice native to Java and Indonesia that has been largely influenced by other cultures, including China. The outside influeces results in batick prints that contain bold colors and animals common to the Chinese culture, for example the phoenix and dragon. The Pesisir Top, by Fei, is also constructed from several pleats folded together. Whereas the Creased Swirls Corset Top is constructed from vertical folds, the Pesisir Top is constructed from folds cut on the bias. The Pesisir Top contains side pockets and a back zip. It sales for $78.00 and can be purchased online at Anthropologie.
