Jim Carrey takes on "Mr. Popper's Penguins" Posted: 22 Aug 2010 04:18 AM PDT Actor Jim Carrey has secured the role to star in 20th Century Fox's family pic "Mr. Popper's Penguins," a film adaptation based on 1938 children's book. According to THR, "Carrey plays a New York businessman who receives a half-dozen penguins who wreak havoc on his business and apartment before he finds important life lessons in their presence." The film is on the fast track at Fox and will begin production in October in New York. Sean Anders and John Morris will be penning the modern storyline for this movie.
