2011 Emmy Awards Winners: Complete List! Posted: 18 Sep 2011 11:44 PM PDT Celebrating and honoring the best talents and works in television at the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theater LA Live in Los Angeles (September 18). [List of Winners Below] ABC's Modern Family was the big winner of the night with 5 Emmy awards while in the movie and miniseries category, PBS' Downton Abbey took home 4 trophies. Jim Parsons, who plays the geeky physicist Sheldon Cooper in the hit sitcom "The Big Band Theory's", went home again with the prize of Outstanding Actor in a Comedy which he also last year.
