| Kristen Stewart is set to go "On the Road" Posted: 07 May 2010 01:13 AM PDT  Kristen Stewart is set to star in Walter Salles and Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation of "On the Road", based on Jack Kerouac's 1957 cult novel.
Joining the 20 year-oild actress are Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund in which the production is set to start in August. In her USA today interview, Kristen said, "I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever. Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in On the Road. So that's a big deal." Stewart will play Dean Moriarty's incandescent on-and-off wife Marylou, while Riley will star as Kerouac's alter ego Sal Paradise. Hedlund has been cast as Dean Moriarty.
