Recap of Neiman Marcus Fashion Show
Hello Divas!
I hope life is just beautiful in your world! Last Friday I attended the Neiman Marcus Fashion at Lenox Square Mall, Atlanta, GA. The people were fabulous, the models gorgeous, and the clothes from Neiman Marcus beautiful. Of course it did not hurt that they served champagne. Lol! Check out some pics from the show!

3. Turquoise was the color of the evening! So Island Chic!
4. Killer Platforms!
5. There was also Mens' Fashions.
6. Black Latex. Although I think Latex pants are played out, this outfit was really street chic!
This event was so much fun! Plus they gave out awesome goody bags. The bags included a silk Nicole Miller scarf, satin sleep mask (every Diva should have one), Croc hat and wristbands (these items went to luxe hubby and luxe son), and tons of coupons!
I am really looking forward to attending the next Neiman Marcus fashion show!

The shows will feature fashions from Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Macy's, Betsey Johnson, Club Monaco, Ann Taylor Loft, Guess, Banana Republic, Steve Madden and more. There will also be Style Shops hosted by Kiehls, Aveda, The Body Shop, and L'Occitane. If you are in Atlanta this is a great way to spend a Saturday!
And this week has been my week! I won TWO, yes TWO beauty prizes featuring products from my absolutely favorite make up brand, Lancome! Woohoo! I won the Lancome Genefique giveaway hosted by Mischo Beauty. I have been wanting to try this product since it hit the market! Genefique is a youth activating serum that boosts the activity of your genes to produce younger looking skin. I can't wait to try it. I will give you guys an update on the results! In addition, I entered a contest on The Lancome Blog to win Lancome's Pink Irreverence Set, which is part of Lancome's Spring Collection. I previously blogged about this set here. Classic yet Stylish and Affordable Business Attire
Hello Divas!
I hope you are having a truly wonderful day. I am a true Polyvore Junkie. I just love creating outfits. I use Polyvore as my inspiration when planning for a trip or just creating a new wardrobe. Last week I gave a presentation at Georgia Tech on "Dressing For Success on a Budget." I created a set featuring stylish business attire that was super affordable. Except for the classic black pumps, all the items in this set are under $50! Wow! Like I say, everyone can live the luxe life affordably! Enjoy!

I hope your day is awesome! I feel like Spring is finally here in Atlanta. Yes! It is so pretty outside.
As many of you know, Johnson's Body Care asked me and a group of other fabulous bloggers to host a Cause Party highlighting beauty, women friendships, and helping others. The Johnson's Body Care/Luxetips Cause Party took place this Sunday and it was a blast! We had delicious food, Berry Mimosas, and great conversations about Beauty. Here are a few pics from the party!

Funkdiviagirl. Must have facials, pedicures, eyebrows groomed, lip gloss, DiorShow Mascara, Tarte gel blush. FYI..The Targe gel is the businesses. Everyone kept complimenting her glow!
Cutiebootycakes. Must have good foundation. She was wearing Lancome Foundation and it looked so natural. Did I mention that I love Lancome?
Kia. Must have essential oils for the skin. Her favorites, lavender, lemongrass, and eucalyptus oil.
Inan. Must have Urban Decay eyeshadow and HD foundation.
Jackie. Must have Eucerin lotion and Fashion Fair Cosmetics! Hello!
Nicola. Must have Water. Love it!
Tiffany. Must have Dove Soap. I use it to wash daily.
This was a great conversation! Also we discussed the awesome Johnson's Body Care products. The 24 Hour Body Wash is by far the most luxurious drugstore brand body wash I have ever used. Read my review here. I am also excited to try the Be Radiant Cocoa & Shea Butter Lotion. It claims to visibly even skin tone and texture. I will let you know if it lives up to the hype!
Of course the party was for a cause. The charity I chose to highlight was CARE's Women Empowerment Initiative. This program provides resources to women in poor communities around the world. I am so excited that we raised funds for this much needed program.
All in all the party was just so much fun. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Fun Fridays! Fashions Shows and Sales

I hope your day is awesome! Today is Friday. The last official day of Spring Break. It has been fun, but Monday it is back to the grind! lol!
If you live in the Atlanta area, Lenox Square Mall is having FREE runway fashion shows on April 24 and 25. The shows takes place at 7:30 pm on April 24 and 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4pm, and 5 pm on April 25. The show on Friday will feature new spring fashions from Neiman Marcus. The Saturday shows will feature spring and summer fashions from Bloomingdales, Macy's, Betsey Johnson, Club Monaco, Ann Taylor Loft, Guess, Banana Republic, Steve Madden and more!
Also for you beauty junkies, Kiehls, Aveda, The Body Shop, and the maker of my favorite hand cream, L'Occitane, will host Style Shops where shoppers can get an up close and personal look at new spring and summer beauty products! You know I will be at these shops! The fashion shows sound like a lot of fun and I hope to see you Divas there!

My Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products!

I hope your day is truly Fantabulous! It is gorgeous in Atlanta. The luxe kids and I were out all day yesterday. So today is another day on the scene! Woot!
Last week I was asked by Concierge PR to recommend beauty products for the Dress To Remember Event. This event was sponsored by Dress for Success and Concierge PR. The purpose of this event was to provide gently used prom dresses, mini-makeovers, and goody bags for Atlanta Public School teenagers in need. The products I recommended were included in the goody bag. Of course, I only recommended the best drugstore brand products..that I use. Here they are:
1. Covergirl Lashblast Mascara. I know I have blogged about this mascara before but it is my current go to mascara. Love!
2. Black Opal Foundation sticks and concealers. Black Opal is a GREAT bargain foundation. It goes only smoothly and completely covers blemishes. Plus the range of colors compliment women of color beautifully.
3. Loreal Hip Color Presso Duo lip shades and eye shadows! I love Loreal's Hip line. I compare it to MAC but on a budget. The colors are intense and very rich. I love the duo lip gloss. You get two shades for one price. You can layer the shades or use one at a time. The eye shadows are pretty fab too. They have purples, golds, greens, etc.
4. Revlon A Floral Affair Blush. These blushes contain 3 colors that you can blend together or use separately. I use one color as a blush and another color as a highlighter. In addition, the color ranges are great for all skin tones. Great product!
5. Wet n Wild's cream and powder bronzers. Awesome products. The Megaglow Illumnizing bronzer is my all time fav drugstore bronzer! Wet n' Wild bronzers come in several shades for different skin tones and they are only $2.99! Can't beat it.
6. Milani lip liners. These lip liners are creamy and retractable! I love that! Plus they come in a wide range of shades and they are only $3.50!
I hope the young ladies enjoy these products. I use all of these products several times a week. Beauty does not have to break the bank!

The products I recommended were included in the goody bag. Of course, I only recommended the best drugstore brand products..that I use. Here they are:
1. Covergirl Lashblast Mascara. I know I have blogged about this mascara before but it is my current go to mascara. Love!
2. Black Opal Foundation sticks and concealers. Black Opal is a GREAT bargain foundation. It goes only smoothly and completely covers blemishes. Plus the range of colors compliment women of color beautifully.
3. Loreal Hip Color Presso Duo lip shades and eye shadows! I love Loreal's Hip line. I compare it to MAC but on a budget. The colors are intense and very rich. I love the duo lip gloss. You get two shades for one price. You can layer the shades or use one at a time. The eye shadows are pretty fab too. They have purples, golds, greens, etc.
4. Revlon A Floral Affair Blush. These blushes contain 3 colors that you can blend together or use separately. I use one color as a blush and another color as a highlighter. In addition, the color ranges are great for all skin tones. Great product!
5. Wet n Wild's cream and powder bronzers. Awesome products. The Megaglow Illumnizing bronzer is my all time fav drugstore bronzer! Wet n' Wild bronzers come in several shades for different skin tones and they are only $2.99! Can't beat it.
6. Milani lip liners. These lip liners are creamy and retractable! I love that! Plus they come in a wide range of shades and they are only $3.50!
I hope the young ladies enjoy these products. I use all of these products several times a week. Beauty does not have to break the bank!

NARS Summer 2009 Collection!
Hello Divas!
I hope your life is beautiful! It is freezing in Atlanta. This weekend it was a nice and sunny 78 degrees. Go figure! Well NARS recently launched their Summer 2009 collection and boy did it lift my spirits! This collection has me dreaming of bikinis, white sand beaches, big fabulous shades, and gorgeous sandals. Yes Divas, I am in love! Check out some of my absolute favs from the collection.
Scorching Sun Duo Eyeshadow. All I can say is WOW! This duo contains a glazed apricot and scorching orange color. I can just see myself rocking these beautiful shades with nice tanned glowing skin and a white halter dress! Divas these shades will look fabulous on any skin tone! This eyeshadow duo retails for $32.00
Irresistiblement Bronzing Powder. Highlight your gorgeous summer skin with this bronzing powder. I have several NARS blushes and bronzing powders and I promise you when I wear them I always get compliments on my glowing skin! This product retails for $30.00
Falaba lipstick! This bronze rose lipstick is the exact shade as my favorite NARS blush, Lovejoy! I know I will look like a sun-kissed bombshell with my Lovejoy Blush and Falaba lipstick. All NARS lipsticks contain Vitamin E so your lips will stay moisturized and nourished all day long. This lipstick retails for $24.00.
I know during this economic recession the prices may be a little steep. But I can confirm that NARS products are awesome! The quality is outstanding and the colors are long-lasting. You don't have to use a lot of the product to achieve the color. The pigments are like no other make-up brand I have tried.

Fun Fridays! Glam Awards!
Hello Divas!
I hope you are having a wonderful day. Spring Break has officially started for luxe son, so I am going to be very busy entertaining him. Unfortuantely the weather is very blah. But off the bookstore and in-door activity centers we go! Glam Media is having their annual Best Of Awards for bloggers in their network. Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Pond's Clean Sweep Facial Cleansing Cloths

I hope your are having a beautiful day! It is raining....again. The Georgia drought should be over!
I have heard so many wonderful things about Pond's Clean Sweep Cleansing and Make-Up Remover Cloths. The product claims to remove make-up and dirt with one clean sweep. Do they live up to the hype? Yes and No. What I love about the cloths is that they are hypo-allergenic and contain chamomile, vitamin e & triple tea antioxidant complex.
When I use the cloths, they do leave my skin feeling nice and soft. The only thing I don't like about these cloths is that they remove all of my make-up except for my mascara. If I don't have on mascara, they really do a great job of removing make-up and dirt with one cloth. However, if I do have on mascara, I have to use two cloths to thoroughly clean my face. But I still think this product is a good buy. They are great when you just don't feel like washing your face. They are already moist, so you simply pull them out of the pack and wash your face. It takes 3 minutes. Also if you are traveling, these cloths are a great way to give your face a nice cleaning if you don't have access to a sink.
