Capitalizing on her new found popularity, "Jersey Shore" pint-sized star Snooki (Nicole Polizzi) is writing a novel! Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books will publish Snooki's first novel "A Shore Thing" early next year.
Accordig to the Press release via MTV, it is a story of "a girl looking for love on the boardwalk (one full of big hair, dark tans and fights galore)."
Snooki said in a statement, "I'm pumped to announce to my fans a project that I've been working on for some time. This book will have you falling in love at the shore."
Above on the left, Shakira shaking on stage in June 2010 and on the right, Shakira in her newest video, ‘Loca’, where she looks considerably thinner. Like that’s-not-even-her-shape thinner: her torso looks positively elongated, her face looks thinner and her hips are less curvy.
Must take a look!
Shakira DID confess before that in order to lose weight for her videos, she diets intensively and literally cries of cravings:
"I needed a whole month to get back into shape. I danced, worked out and had to stick to a strict diet – only fish, spinach and a specially-prepared dessert with tofu. For the first time in my life I was dreaming of chocolate and cake and always woke up with tears in my eyes."
So, question: Did Shakira Lose Too Much Weight for Her New Video?
Crystal Renn is featured in the 90th anniversary issue of French Vogue and the editorial definitely has a strong ‘love it or hate it’ vibe. Most likely the latter.
Crystal Renn’s Editorial in French Vogue Is… INSERT ADJECTIVE.
Is ‘disgusting’ or ‘revolting’ the word you are looking for? Or is this rather ‘playful’ and ‘edgy’?
‘Just as Beautiful’ started as a digital publication destined to women over size 14, but beginning with September 2010, it joins the printed club. The magazine, who intends to ‘help end the current harsh visual obsession’ refuses to use any model under size 14 and it also bans dieting articles – but let’s find out more from it’s creators:
The magazine’s editor Sue Thomason explains:
We want our readers to know that they don’t need to change their appearance to ‘fit in’ or be truly happy. Most people only think they need to change because they’re constantly exposed to the message that they do – and shown images of impossibly skinny models that they’re told they “should” look like.
‘Appearance needs to be rethought and placed firmly back where it belongs – in the entertainment section of your life, along with fashion and make-up,’ she said. If you feel anxious about your looks instead of being relaxed, it’s a sure sign that you need to change your mind and not your body.’
Publisher Ronnie Ajoku says:
‘There will be no diet sections but we do have exercise tips. No model under size 14 will get into the magazine. We have normal interviews with women who happen to be size 14-16.
‘What we want to do is supply a magazine for women who don’t want to be made to feel bad about the way they look. We might have interviews from plus size celebrities like Ruth Jones but they are straightforward interviews and don’t concentrate on their size. The point of the magazine is not to make such a big deal about women’s figures like other magazines do. There are plenty of magazines out there which promote losing weight but our readers don’t want that. They want a magazine which is relevant to them while making them feel good about how they look.’

Madonna prowls around with eye-popping cleavage on show in Dolce&Gabanna advert
Just in case anyone needed reminding, Madonna has once again set out to prove she's not letting age change her ways.
The 52-year-old has posed for yet another racy Dolce&Gabanna advert, this time while wearing an incredibly low-cut black body suit and hold-up stockings.
Accessorised with sunglasses, a crucifix and a red string Kabbalah bracelet, she prowls around an unmade bed with her cleavage threatening to spill out of her lingerie.
In another frame, she reclines on white sheets accompanied by a black and white cat.
Madonna struck up a friendship with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana while she was filming Dick Tracy in the early Nineties and they were invited to designer her costumes for The Girlie Show tour in 1993.
The Italian designer duo announced their new collaboration with Madonna last year, which came after she spent her birthday with the pair on-board this yacht in Italy last August.
They said at the time: 'To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true.'
Madonna has since launched a fashion label of her own with her teen daughter Lourdes called Material Girl.
Meanwhile, there are mounting rumours Madonna will be performing on the X Factor's first live broadcast on October 9.
The show is already renowned for drawing in some of the biggest names in the music business, with past performers including Beyonce, who dueted with 2008 winner Alexandra Burke on the programme.
A source told the Daily Mirror that she has verbally agreed to appear on the show, saying: 'Madonna would be perfect to kick-off the last stage of the competition.'
Amazon is offering up Star Trek V: The Final Frontier for purchase for only $3.99 through their Video On Demand service.

It's been a rough time in the world of stand-up comedy lately. First came the news that Robert Schimmel had passed away due to injuries from a car accident, and now it's being reported that Greg Giraldo has died after an overdose on prescription medications. He was 44 years old.
The overdose occurred last weekend, and the comedian was discovered by a friend before being brought to a hospital in New Jersey where he was listed in critical but stable condition. Sources also stated that the overdose was not any form of suicide attempt.
Giraldo has been around for a while now, making many appearances in comedy specials, TV shows, and movies. He's best known for his work on the many Comedy Central roasts, where he was one of the staples who was always there to unleash a barrage of insults, harsh as the ears can take and stomach burning hilarious. He took part in the Roast of David Hasselhoff just a month or so ago. He was also just recently one of the three judges of this past season of Last Comic Standing, where a lot of people who might not have known him were able to get better acquainted. [...]
What's more exciting than playing the highly anticipated follow-up to LucasArts' popular video game title, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? Playing the game using another LucasArts character from a completely different world: Guybrush Threepwood.
Guybrush will apparently be available in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II as an unlockable and fully playable character, and there's pictures to prove it! The amusing announcement was made on the game's official Facebook page, though it is still unclear whether or not once you do figure out how to unlock the often goofy Guybrush, if you'll be able to play through the entire campaign with him.
Be sure to dust off your Monkey Kombat skills, and click on over to the other side to check out two images featuring Guybrush Threepwood in full Jedi gear.
Threepwood comes from the beloved Monkey Island series of games, a fun and often hilarious collection of point-and-click adventures involving pirates, grog, and of course, monkeys. The series was created by Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer, and Dave Grossman. [...]
Things have not gone so smoothly for the hit Discovery Channel reality show, Deadliest Catch, as of late. Most people are aware of the terrible loss of Captain Phil Harris, but after the emotional episodes that documented that loss, the emotions seemed to turn from sadness to anger rather quickly. A heated dispute and lawsuit threat has now led to the departure of three more captains from the show.
For those of you who are unaware of the situation, allow us to first fill you in. It all started not too long ago when it was reported that the network was planning to sue cast members and brothers Andy Hillstrand and Johnathan Hillstrand, Co-Captains of the Time Bandit, who were doing work on a planned spinoff series called Hillstranded. According to Discovery, the brothers failed to complete work on the spinoff, forcing them to sue for $3 million. The Hillstrand brothers' lawyer, Jeff Cohen, claimed that this was an act of extortion on his clients, and that they would have to sell their boats and fire their crews if the lawsuit was presented. Alumni of the adventure that was LOST have had no trouble getting back to work after the beloved series ended this past May.
Daniel Dae Kim took the easiest route by simply staying in Hawaii and joining the cast of CBS's Hawaii Five-O, but a couple of others have now joined film projects. We found out yesterday that Maggie Grace would be jumping into The Twilight Saga (Read: 'LOST' Star Maggie Grace Joins The Cast Of 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'), and now fan-favorite Josh Holloway has been cast in another high-profile sequel.
According to reports, Holloway, who became a star as the always stubborn Sawyer on the Lost island, is in final negotiations to join the cast of Mission: Impossible IV. Not much is known about the story of this fourth installment yet, but Holloway would be playing an operative in the secret Impossible Mission Force that's headed up by star Tom Cruise. [...]
