I Am So Thankful!

I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful! I slept half the day! I didn't realize how exhausted I was until I had an opportunity to really sleep.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color: It Works!

I hope you ladies had the best week ever! Unfortunately, I was rear ended and my beautiful Acura MDX has been damaged. She is going into the shop indefinitely. Ugh. But I am thankful to God I am okay and unharmed. God is good!

Today is a beautiful Saturday morning and I am blogging, writing proposals, and pampering myself. I decided to give myself a brief manicure and tested out Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color. Divas have raved about how fast this nail color dries and I had to give it a whirl. I am happy to report that this nail color dries in 5 minutes flat! Do you hear me? 5 minutes flat! I was floored. This nail color is perfect if you are in a rush and only have 5 minutes to apply nail color and you only have 5 minutes for it to dry. Now the product advertised that it dries in 60 seconds. It did not for me, but 5 minutes is better than 15-20 minutes. I am in love! I am always in a rush, so this is perfect for me.

California Baby Calendula Everyday Lotion

Sometimes I discuss fashion or beauty products for luxe baby. Yes, luxe baby is a little Diva and she has to have the best of the best! LOL! I am currently in LOVE with California Baby's Calendula Everyday Lotion. This lotion is the bomb! First, the lotion is 100% organic! I just simply can not use anything full of chemicals on her beautiful delicate skin! It contains the active botanical, Calendula. Calenduala has wonderful healing properties that are proven to relieve irritation and itching due to eczema, poison ivy/oak/sumac, chickenpox, sunburn and insect bites. It is also non-comedogenic so it will not clog pores. Also it is super moisturizing but non-greasy. When I put it on luxe baby, it immediately absorbs into her skin. Plus it smells just lovely! It is infused with French Lavender. Luxe baby loves it! When I apply the lotion on her after bathe time, she holds out her little hand and rubs it on her body. Like mommy like daughter! Love it! And of course the lavender instantly puts her to sleep. What is there not to love about this lotion???!!!

Also, the website claims this lotion is a great facial moisturizer. Yep, especially if you have normal to oily skin or acne prone skin. The Calendula is good for the acne! Go figure. I will discuss how fashion designers can use social media to get their product to their target audience. Yep..I guess I am a social media expert now. LOL! I am looking forward to it and I know it will be tons of fun. Plus I get a chance to meet new and emerging fashion designers, which I absolutely love!

La Vanilla Grapefruit The Healthy Deordorant: It Really Works!

I hope you are having a fabulous week! It has been raining in Atlanta, but it is all good!

About a month ago, I was given the opportunity to try La Vanilla's Grapefruit The Healthy Deodorant. You guys know how much I love La Vanilla's Coconut Vanilla Parfum. Simply fab! This deodorant is all natural and it does not contain any petrochemicals, phythalates, parabens, sulfates, silicone or synthetic dyes. The deodorant is blended with essential oils and antioxidants. And it has a fabulous Vanilla Grapefruit Scent that is insane!

Now I am a girl that sweats A LOT and I always need a strong deodorant. I have tried some of the drugstore brand natural deodorants in the past and they did not work. Eugh! So I was a little hesitant to try La Vanilla's deodorant. After, I ran out of my fav drugstore brand deodorant, I decided to give this deodorant a try. I used the deodorant for one week and it actually held up. It did not necessarily stop me from sweating, but it left me odor free. Plus I smelled like Vanilla and Grapefruit. What is there not to like? In fact, I wore this deodorant to the Lenny Kravitz concert last Wednesday and this deodorant kept me feeling fresh and odor free all night long. Love it!

My Salon: Fluer Elysee Salon, Grant Park, GA

Hello Divas!

I hope your weekend was wonderful. I had to travel New Orleans this weekend to attend a funeral. Not a particularly happy occasion, but it was good to see my family.

Before I traveled to New Orleans, I went to visit my stylist, Bizette, at Fluer Elysee salon to get a wash and press before my trip. I have been going to Bizette for over two years and she took my hair from a perm to a natural. Since going natural my hair is much healthier and it grows faster!

What I love most about Fluer Elysee is the super comfortable and posh atmosphere plus the fast service. Bizette always gets her customers in and out within 2 hours...sometimes less. She is super professional and very efficient. Plus she has early morning hours that work super with my busy schedule. If I have a 6 am appointment, I am usually done between 7:30 am and 7:45am. Fab!

The salon is decorated in rich tones of burnt orange and browns. This built in sofa is the absolute best piece of furniture in the salon. It is so comfy!



There is also free Wi-Fi. This is a huge plus for me, because I need to stay connected!

Fluer Elysee is a Phytospecific salon and I just love their products! Bizette uses Phytospecific Optimal Hydration Shampoo and Optimal Hydration Milk on my hair. These products are formulated with pro-Vitamin B, shea butter, and vitamin E. These products leave my hair super soft, shiny, and manageable. Also according to Bizette, the Phytospecific hair vitamins are her number one sellers. She can't keep them on the shelf. Her clients swear by them. She has noticed significant hair growth in her clients who use them consistently. I might have to try those vitamins!



Whenever I visit Bizette my hair is shiny and bouncing! I love it! Here is the finished product.
